Cov Original artists Blakface drop new project titled “Past Due”

I’m not a big “back in the days” person when it comes to hip-hop. I figure that every era will have it’s fair share of dope and wack and leave it at that. I do however feel like one thing that has been lost in the new generation of hip-hop artist is that “new” often means “unpolished.” We are in a stage where everyone records at home and we are really hearing a lot of demo music that basically would be on the cutting room floor of post production back in the day. Not this time homie…

Enter in Cov Original artist Blakface. Blakface is a group that consist of 2 cousins Funklogic & Sincere from the 626. With their new project Past Due, the duo have managed to put together a VERY SOLID record consisting of ill beats, dope subjects, fun rhymes, thought provoking music that is brilliantly produced. Don’t get it twisted, the dope production is not just in the beats. Blakface has managed to set a mood on this record with dope hooks, rhymes and concepts. This is a really ill project. I urge everyone to grab it at the link below. You can also get familiar with Blakface‘s past work on their bandcamp page. I trust that you will hear more about them in the near future, i’m just trying to get you familiar now.
